The bistro is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and regularly on other days as well.

Discover Dutch cuisine

At Bistro Nieuwmarkt, you can try some well-known dishes from Dutch cuisine. The menu includes bitterballen, chips with beef stew and battered fish.

Our tip: try the traditional Dutch snack platter, which includes herring, croquettes, cheese cubes, Amsterdam-style beef sausage and liver sausage.

In addition to these opening hours, Bistro Nieuwmarkt is regularly open on other days. You can find the current opening hours for the coming week at the entrance to the bistro.

The Bistro is definitely a must-visit!! The owners are super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! (An adorable little dog, delicious homemade fries, and a specially made ice cream were a big hit with the kids ☺️)

The campground is a 5-minute walk from the metro, so you’ll be right in the heart of Amsterdam in no time!

All in all, highly recommended for anyone who wants to spend a few days in Amsterdam but doesn’t feel like staying in a hotel, and who wants to relax in nature at the campground after a busy day in the city.

What we serve

The menu includes well-known Dutch dishes such as bitterballen, chips with beef stew and battered fish. Many of the dishes are prepared in the bistro itself.

There is no need to make a reservation. And do not worry, there is almost always a table available.
